My Music

I generally like putting stuff out there for other people to look at. And this post is dedicated to music I made.

I have a feeling that this piece is at least somewhat inspired by Married Life which Michael Giacchino composed for the movie Up.

This piece is most definitely inspired by the Minecraft Soundtrack, or at least by C418’s music in general.

This piece feels like a combination of Toby Fox’s It’s raining somewhere else and the 緑の手紙 album by ミツキヨ.

I have to admit: Now publishing what I’m making is a little exciting. Even if no one ever finds this, the idea that someone could, is in a way, quite alluring.

This piece, I’d say, takes inspiration from 北村友香’s work on the FromSoftware games, and DM DOKURO’s Eulogy for the Ego.

This piece is surely inspired by Joe Hisaishi’s Bygone Days from the movie Porco Rosso. It also feels quite Pokémon-esque. Like something I could imagine playing in some of the cities you visit in the games (though the loop is little too short). This piece gave me a harder time. The rhythm especially, as it took me some time to figure out, that what I was writing fits into 128\frac{12}{8}.

A friend of mine has set a goal to write a poem a day. He’s done pretty admirably in my opinion. He was however lamenting how bad some of his work is, given that he often writes these poems dead tired at the end of the day. As you might have seen from the dates of my pieces, I usually take my time. Today though, I felt like following his example and wrote a piece in one day. Just for the sake of it. Making art in just a day is hard… (less time to marinate and think things through)

The chords in this one feel inspired by Xi and David Peacock’s Piano work.
